A general textile trading company with a business history of over 350 years, Moririn started out as a yarn seller.
The Material Group is comprehensively involved in the production of materials from yarn, our original business, but also cotton and textile materials which are core elements of fashion.
With fine-quality material production as our primary asset, and harnessing our capacity to offer ideas backed by a rich store of knowhow and experience, Moririn can design and develop attractive materials sought after at home and abroad, while addressing customer needs expertly from production to sales.
We sometimes venture into tie-up projects with major synthetic material manufacturers, or launch an original textile business of our own that provides total management from planning to production.
Moririn’s Material Group is expanding its business into new areas such as managing a material- and design-focused fashion brand “wjk”.
We are also addressing the increasing demand for materials of Japanese origin with our notable expertise and progressiveness.
The Olijf Group works on the integration of sustainability into fashion. It promotes ODM/OEM business and seeks new values based on the three pillars of “developing original materials in response to the changing needs of society”, “highly fashion-conscious projects”, and “production from the perspective of INDUSTRY 4.0 and SOCIETY 5.0”.
We deliver apparel to department stores, select shops and sports brands. We are ready to meet expectations based on our experience and enhanced knowledge so as to be able to provide all kinds of clothing in response to market needs, as well as bottoms manufactured at overseas joint venture plants with full-item service and value creation.
The Creative Group, focusing on ladies and kids products, has diverse sales channels, ranging from select shops to specialty shops, as well as catalogue sales and GMS.
The Group was fastest in building up a streamlined production scheme covering everything from materials to products in ASEAN nations. Its strength lies in its development of original materials and the ability to deliver differentiated products at the right time, taking advantage of the QR (quick response) production system.
The Group also implements aggressive investment in new business. As a pioneer in this company, the Group entered into e-commerce business, in which it carries out novel product development, attaining sales never before achieved from the fresh perspective of kotozukuri (value creation).
The Creative Group was launched by merging separate sections which had different roots. Fueling its growth has been synergy between a unit specializing in material development and another one having an MD (merchandizing) function that specialized in planning and project proposals.
The Group also promotes diversity management. This creates a level playing field and optimizes the power of employees with various personalities and characters, letting them think outside the box.
The Living Group (Household Fashions Group) deals in bedding materials and interior-related materials which enhance the richness of life.
Their ability, from the perspective of end-users, to conceive and develop new products sought after in society is highly evaluated by our major clients.
Moririn’s advantage of having its own manufacturing plants at home and abroad allows it to build up a supply-chain management that covers everything from marketing and planning to production management, quality control, and logistics. This enables the supply of premium products at the right time and at a reasonable price.
The Fiber Materials Group is responsible for the following materials: Division 1 handles machine thread and sub-materials; Division 2 handles uniforms; and Division 3 handles fabrics for automobile interiors. As a manufacturer, Moririn provides consistent management from the procurement of raw materials through to production. With our global supply chain, we can provide the manufacturing and sale of products that we have paid meticulous attention to. We have manufacturing and sales centers not only across Japan but also in China and ASEAN countries in order to extend our sales operations throughout the world, including China, ASEAN, the EU, Central and South America, and African nations. Moririn actively engages in the development of functional commercial products by making good use of the knowhow we have accumulated as a manufacturer. This enables us to propose, manufacture, and sell products that meet new demands.
The Industrial Use Materials Group provides materials for civil construction, such as flexible containers, flameproof sheets, blue tarpaulin sheets, fisheries materials like baskets for fish farming, and fishing gut, as well as agricultural materials such as agricultural net-related products and weed-preventing sheets. The Group also manufactures some original products offering high performance, which have been appreciated by a number of customers.
